Philanthropy
During academic year 2009-2010 we will be participating in multiple events. Each year we volunteer time and money to charitable organizations including: Alpha Phi Foundation, St. Patrick's House, Big Brothers and Sisters, Missoula Red Cross, Missoula Food Bank and many others.
Alpha Phi Foundation
A nonprofit organization, the Foundation is the philanthropic partner of Alpha Phi International Fraternity, one of the oldest national sororities. Through contributions from chapters, individual members and friends, the Alpha Phi Foundation funds programs that provide leadership and educational opportunities, encourage and recognize superior scholarship, support women's cardiac health, educate women about the value of philanthropy, and assist members in need. As a charitable and educational organization, the Foundation has been classified as a 501(c)(3) organization by the Internal Revenue Service. Donations are tax deductible in the United States as allowed by law. The website for information on Alpha Phi and Alpha Phi Foundation is www.alphaphi.org/foundation/.
Chi Chapter Scholarship Fund
The scholarship fund provides scholarships for women wishing to join and current members of the University of Montana Chapter of Alpha Phi. Scholarships are available to all women wishing to become a part of Alpha Phi. Membership provides women with the opportunity to continue their education while living in a drug and alcohol free home, the access to special scholarship programs designed for young women, personal risk management programs, and mentorship by local and national businesswomen of all trades. Alpha Phi values include high moral character, leadership, self-awareness, philanthropy, and community involvement.
